Private Donors
Your commitment to our cause is more than just a financial contribution; it’s a lifeline that empowers the women and children we serve. It provides them with the necessary tools and support systems needed to embark on the journey of rebuilding their lives. With your help, we can offer a safe and nurturing environment where these women can grow, learn, and develop the confidence they need to face the future with optimism. Your dedication not only supports their immediate needs but also invests in their long-term success and wellbeing, fostering hope and a sense of self-worth that can transform their lives.
Friends of Marillac Place
Our organization deeply depends on the generosity of private donors to meet the significant monthly expenses required to maintain the quality of care and support we offer, which amounts to approximately $106,250.00 per month.
Your financial support is crucial in enabling us to cover a range of essential needs, from housing, hygiene products, and nutritious meals to counseling services and educational programs. Each donation plays a vital role in ensuring that we can continue to offer these indispensable resources.
One-time Donations
It’s easy to donate to Marillac Place and every donation makes a difference.
Gifts in Kind
Although financial contributions are crucial for sustaining Marillac Place, donations in kind or physical items are equally valuable in providing essential support to the women and children in our care. Here are a few examples of the in-kind donations we gratefully accept:
- New baby toys and clothes for our boutique
- New clothing items for women
- Diapers and wipes
Regrettably, Marillac Place is unable to take in used items because of our restricted capacity to handle and organize incoming donations, along with a lack of sufficient storage space to maintain the quality of these items. We encourage you to make your donations to Thrift on Kent or Salvation Army.
Please contact Thrift on Kent, Salvation Army, or OutGrow OutPlay to donate your second-hand goods.

Gifts of Life Insurance
Life insurance policies are an effective way to support our mission at Marillac Place. There are several ways to give a gift through life insurance:
- Surrender an existing policy you no longer need
- Purchase a new policy and name Marillac Place as the owner and beneficiary. Marillac Place receives the value of the life insurance policy upon your death and uses the funds to support our mission.
- Designate Marillac Place as the beneficiary of your existing policy and upon your death Marillac Place will receive the proceeds of the life insurance.
Please contact us (or ask your insurance agent or financial advisor to contact us) to learn more about these options and the related tax receipts and/or to let us know if you have set up a gift of life insurance for Marillac Place.
Build a Basket
We provide essential needs baskets to women at special milestones during their stay. Building a basket (or contributing to one) is a great way to support the women and children at Marillac Place.
Welcome Basket
Upon arrival at Marillac Place many of our residents have very little, if any, of the supplies needed to take care of themselves and their baby. We provide Welcome Baskets to new residents as we help them settle in at Marillac Place.
Departure Basket
When families move out of Marillac Place and transition to independent housing, we continue to support them in a variety of ways. Material items are vital for women setting up their new homes. Our Departure Basket helps them with many of the items they need.
Pre- and Post-natal Baskets
Pregnant women and new moms require specific items to help them care for themselves and their babies.
Self-care Basket
When women live at Marillac Place they are encouraged to take good care of themselves, make healthy choices, and build strong relationships, as they begin to heal and change their stories.
